The teaching at Gayatri Gyan Kendra is done by volunteer teachers, and is based on a curriculum prepared on the guidelines of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, a unique university established on the principles of the ancient universities of Nalanda and Takshashila, and Shantikunj (the headquarters of All World Gayatri Pariwar) in Haridwar, India; to educate younger generations about Indian Culture, and achieve three objectives on the road to meeting the Mission’s goal:

1. Help younger generations develop intellectual knowledge about strengths and virtues (“Daivy Sampatti”), positive emotions (“Bhav Samvedana”), and positive character traits (“Charitra Nirman”)

2. Provide progressive increments to our children in the realization of their potential as human beings, by identifying, understanding and integrating strengths (identified in the first objective above) into their daily lives

3. Shramdan, where students will donate time for social cause, and practice “Simple Living and High Thinking” motto with a disciplined lifestyle using clear and strong values.

Groupings

Indian Culture Class:

  • Students are divided into seven (7) groups for culture classes:
  • Group KG: Pre-KG and KG (Ages 3 ½ to 5)
  • Group 1: 1st Grade (Age 6)
  • Group 2: 2nd Grade (Age 7)
  • Group 3: 3rd Grade (Age 8)
  • Group 4: 4th Grade (Age 9)
  • Group 5: 5 to 6 Grade (Ages 10 and 11)
  • Group 6: 7 and up (Ages 12 and above)

Hindi Language Class:

For Hindi Language classes, students are divided into 5 levels and are assigned levels based on their knowledge and understanding of the language and the recommendation of the language teachers.

Gujarati Language Class:

For Gujarati Language classes, students are divided into 4 levels and are assigned levels based on their knowledge and understanding of the language and the recommendation of the language teachers.
